ESPN’s Adam Schefter had a very interesting statement to make regarding the new Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback.<\/div>\n

Veteran\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Aaron Rodgers\u00a0finally made a decision on where he will be playing in 2025, as he informed the\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers\u00a0that he intends to sign with them.<\/p>\n

But not everyone was all positive about the move.<\/p>\n

In a recent post on X, ESPN’s Adam Schefter had a very interesting take about the Steelers signing the 41-year-old QB.<\/p>\n

“Steelers and Aaron Rodgers need each other,” Schefter wrote. “The Steelers have lost six straight playoff games, their longest postseason losing streak in team history. Rodgers hasn\u2019t won a playoff game since the 2020 Divisional Playoff, a 32-18 win against the Rams on Jan. 16, 2021 \u2014 1,601 days ago.”<\/p>\n

It may be true that the Steelers have lost six straight playoff games because of the fact that they have not found a consistent starting QB since Ben Roethlisberger retired. But that does not exactly mean that they absolutely needed Rodgers to be their field general.<\/p>\n

As for Rodgers not winning a playoff game since 2020, he has not played with a player who was named to the Pro Bowl since that season. While that does not mean that he has had no help, it does play a factor in him not winning a postseason game since 2020.<\/p>\n

But think about it: The Steelers don\u2019t win playoff games and either does Rodgers.<\/p>\n

How in Schefter\u2019s wacky mind do those two wrongs add up to being a right?<\/p>\n

Rodgers will be looking to prove this season that signing with the Steelers was the right move, as he ideally helps lead the team back to the playoffs to redeem themselves after their early exit this past season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
