Aaron Rodgers finally ended his free agent off-season by signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday.\u00a0 The move was long expected, but because it was taking so long many started to wonder if it would ever happen.<\/p>\n
However, now that the four-time MVP is officially a Steeler, some of his opinions are going viral.<\/p>\n

On Friday, US President Donald Trump invited Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph to the stage. However, that isn\u2019t where the\u00a0story\u00a0ended:<\/p>\n

Trump praised the longtime Steelers backup (outside a poor 2024 stint with the Tennessee Titans, Rudolph is the Steelers\u2019 primary #2 since 2018, amid the team\u2019s current standoff with free agent Aaron Rodgers. And Trump backed him as the Steelers\u2019 starter.<\/p>\n
\u201cI happen to think a really good quarterback is a man named Mason Rudolph,\u201d Trump said of the Pittsburgh quarterback. \u201cI think he\u2019s going to get a big shot. He\u2019s tall, he\u2019s handsome, he\u2019s got a great arm, and I have a feeling he\u2019s going to be the guy.\u201d It came just days after\u00a0Tom Brady\u2019s private message to Shedeur Sanders was revealed.<\/p>\n
Rodgers, once considered a serious choice to be Robert F. Kennedy\u2019s vice presidential pick, has both praised and picked at Trump at various points.<\/p>\n
\u201cTrump, okay, Trump\u2019s an outsider, all the rhetoric, we\u2019re going to drain a swamp and go after the corruption. \u201cAnd what I fault him for is Tony Fauci, because he is an establishment pharmacrat since he got in, and he\u2019s been in forever, and he\u2019s the highest paid government official. And he let, and not only did Trump push the vaccine, Operation Warp Speed, or whatever the [heck] it was, but he let Fauci stay in charge and shut the country down,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
Rodgers is coming off a much better season than Rudolph, having completed 63.0% of his passes for 3,897 yards with a 28-11 touchdown-interception ratio for the 5-12 New York Jets.<\/p>\n
Rudolph went 1-4 across five starts and eight appearances with the Titans last year, completing 64.0% of his passes for 1,530 yards and a 9-9 touchdown-interception ratio.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s great to be back,\u201d Rudolph said earlier this week at OTAs. \u201cI\u2019m excited. A lot of familiar faces. I don\u2019t need to make any handshakes here. I know most of the media. They\u2019re all good people.\u201d<\/p>\n
Simultaneously, he\u2019s aware of the Rodgers-related chatter.\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s nothing new to me. There\u2019s been constant noise,\u201d Rudolph added. \u201cThat is the nature of the NFL. So I am used to that for a long time.
