With mandatory minicamp expected to take place this week across the NFL, there are several star players who could be skipping out on mandatory minicamp. With Parsons seeking a new contract, is there a chance that he will miss the event this week or will he actually show up?<\/p>\n

ESPN Thinks That Dallas Cowboys Micah Parsons Could Be One Of Several NFL Players Who Skip Mandatory Minicamp This Week<\/h2>\n

NFL nation on ESPN wrote about several different players who could potentially skip mandatory minicamp this week. Parsons is looking for a new contract and they think that the star edge rusher has a chance to miss minicamp this week.\u00a0They said,<\/p>\n

\u201cParsons was in and out of the offseason program, but was not part of the OTAs. He said he will be at the minicamp, but it\u2019s not known how much on-field work \u2014 if any \u2014 he will do.<\/p>\n

Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Parsons has remained connected to the team even if he has not attended everything. Perhaps showing up to the minicamp can jump-start contract talks. \u2014\u00a0Todd Archer\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

According to Spotrac, Parsons is expected to make around $24 million for the 2025 NFL season. He will probably want more than $24 million per season in his next contract. Dallas has already paid quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to contract extensions.<\/p>\n

During the 2024 NFL season with Dallas, Parsons recorded 43 tackles, 12 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection. Cleveland Browns Myles Garrett already received a contract extension this offseason. Trey Hendrickson of the Cincinnati Bengals is already looking for a new contract extension.
