Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has reportedly shed significant weight heading into his 13th NFL season.<\/p>\n

Kelce, who the Chiefs last listed at 250 pounds, had a down year in 2024. Through 16 games, Kelce tallied 823 yards and 3 touchdowns \u2014 both career lows over a full season. His underperformance may have prompted him to make a major shift this offseason.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs star is set to \u201cdebut a bit of a slimmer look\u201d once Kansas City\u2019s mandatory minicamp kicks off on Tuesday. According to ESPN\u2019s Jeremy Fowler, Kelce has informed people in his circle that he\u00a0has shed\u00a0\u201cabout 25 pounds\u201d after playing at a relatively heavier weight the previous year.<\/p>\n

Kelce has been one of the league\u2019s most productive tight ends for over a decade. But the 35-year-old appeared to lose a step last season. There were legitimate questions about\u00a0whether or not Kelce would call it a career<\/a>\u00a0after a dozen NFL seasons.<\/p>\n

Those questions were put to rest when the\u00a0four-time All-Pro told Pat McAfee in February\u00a0that he was \u201ccoming back for sure\u201d after the Chiefs\u2019 Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles left a \u201creal bad taste\u201d in his mouth.<\/p>\n

Kelce also promised to get in the best shape of his life to help the Chiefs reclaim their spot atop the NFL\u2019s hierarchy. If Fowler\u2019s report is accurate, Kelce has so far made good on his promise.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
