Earlier in this NFL offseason, offensive tackle Kendall Lamm decided to change teams and sign with the reigning Super Bowl champion\u00a0Philadelphia Eagles\u00a0after he spent the last three seasons playing for the\u00a0Miami Dolphins.<\/p>\n

Lamm hasn\u2019t even suited up in a game with the Eagles yet, but he has already noted significant cultural differences between the Eagles and Dolphins.<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand why the Eagles reached two Super Bowls in three years: players are never late, never toxic, and after every practice, the room spends 15 minutes sharing personal struggles to stay mentally sharp \u2013 something I never got with the Dolphins,\u201d Lamm\u00a0said\u00a0according to a post on X.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Dolphins are actively trying to change their culture, and so far, there seems to be optimism that their team culture is indeed in a better place this season.<\/p>\n

The Eagles won far more playoff games during their Super Bowl run last season than Lamm did in his entire Dolphins tenure. Miami has yet to win a playoff game since the year 2000, and Lamm played in just one playoff contest as a Dolphin.<\/p>\n

On their path to a Super Bowl title, the Eagles beat the\u00a0Green Bay Packers,\u00a0Los Angeles Rams,\u00a0Washington Commanders\u00a0and\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs, and Lamm is hoping that the Eagles can repeat as champions this coming season now that he\u2019s a member of the team.<\/p>\n

Lamm is joining an Eagles offensive unit that is led by none other than star quarterback Jalen Hurts, who won the Super Bowl MVP award after he totaled 221 passing yards and two passing touchdowns coupled with 72 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown against the Chiefs on football\u2019s biggest stage.<\/p>\n

Lamm was consistently on the field for the Dolphins in his final two seasons in Miami after he played just one game in his first season with the team. He totaled 32 appearances and 15 starts across the 2023 and 2024 regular seasons.<\/p>\n

His comments say something about the Dolphins\u2019 cultural issues in the past, but with any luck, that won\u2019t be the case moving forward. Dolphins linebacker Bradley Chubb said earlier this month that the Dolphins\u00a0lied before\u00a0about changing their culture in a positive manner, but now their actions are matching their words.<\/p>\n

If the Dolphins have actually turned a new leaf regarding their culture, it\u2019s unfortunate that they had to wait until Lamm changed teams to do so.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
