Some people resolve to lose that last few pounds, quit drinking for a month, say hello to a stranger every day or finally book a dream vacation to Hawaii. But\u00a0Cardi B\u2018s New Year\u2019s resolutions have a bit more bite to them. The \u201cBongos\u201d rapper hopped on Instagram Live on Sunday (Nov. 24) to let everyone with a bone to pick know that 2025 is the year she\u2019s done with your mess.<\/div>\n
In a\u00a0fan capture\u00a0of the post, Cardi explained that she and her friends have been making new year goals, new year plans and new year affirmations, and you better believe she is not playing with any of them. \u201cI\u2019m telling you right motherf\u2013king now, every n\u2013ga or a b\u2013ch that motherf\u2013kin\u2019 play with me in 2024? I\u2019m letting you know right now\u2026 y\u2019all better apologize to me today!,\u201d Cardi said in the clip in which she appears to be in her pajamas.<\/div>\n
\u201cBecause you wanna know what? You wanna know why? Because next year\u2026 as soon as\u2026 you know everybody always say this every New Year\u2019s, but this time I\u2019m standing on it,\u201d she added. \u201cNext year, as soon as 12 a.m. hit I\u2019m hitting the reset button. You hear me? I\u2019m hitting the motherf\u2013king reset button.\u201d<\/div>\n

Cardi then got specific about the level of reset she\u2019s planning. \u201cI\u2019m hitting the f\u2013king reset button. I\u2019m whipping everybody\u2019s ass with a we belt,\u201d she warned. \u201cI\u2019m sick of f\u2013king everybody. I\u2019m telling you, next year I\u2019m not taking f\u2013king nothing.\u201d While Cardi did not specify who her ire was aimed towards, she said a \u201cwhole bunch\u201d of stuff happened to her this year that threw her 2024 into chaos.<\/p>\n

After having all her music plans in order, including working on music videos and getting unspecified surgery at the beginning of 2024, Cardi said, \u201cGod was like, \u2018not so fast. I\u2019m sending you a f\u2013king baby!’\u201d To be clear, Cardi gushed over the baby daughter who was born in early September, just weeks after the rapper filed for divorce from Migos MC Offset \u2014 with whom she has two other children. Cardi called her \u201cso f\u2013kin beautiful\u2026 and she\u2019s my bestie. If I could I would take her to the club with me because she\u2019s my bestie. I wanna be with her all day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cardi spent much of 2024 teasing her long-awaited sophomore album, including in another recent Instagram livestream in which she told fans she\u2019s \u201cwilding out lately\u201d but wants to \u201cget [her] f\u2013-king life together\u2026 I have so much things coming next year,\u201d she said. \u201cI know next year is gonna be my f\u2013-king year.\u201d Among the items on her 2025 to-do list are: releasing her as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2018\u2019s Billboard 200-topping debut album\u00a0Invasion of Privacy<\/em>, as well as, hopefully, getting \u201ca little boyfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n
