Many Dallas Cowboys fans are ready to move on from Mike McCarthy as their team\u2019s head coach. Dak Prescott does not share the same sentiment.<\/p>\n

McCarthy is in the final year of the five-year contract he signed with the Cowboys back in 2020. Given how tumultuous Dallas\u2019 season has been this season, some expect the team to move on from McCarthy at season\u2019s end.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Prescott spoke to Yahoo Sports\u2019 Jori Epstein about McCarthy\u2019s tenure in Dallas\u00a0potentially coming to an end. The Cowboys quarterback put his full support behind McCarthy.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour coach seems like he\u2019s playing on his last contract,\u201d Prescott told Epstein. \u201cAnd [I\u2019m] almost feeling helpless like I can\u2019t help him in this situation, especially a guy you believe in so much and you believe in being your head coach,\u201d Prescott told Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports. \u201cControl what I can control, help and support Mike to every extent that I can.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Prescott also expressed optimism that McCarthy could return, given how Cowboys owner Jerry Jones\u00a0broached the topic\u00a0last week.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys QB suffered a season-ending hamstring injury that severely hampered the team\u2019s playoff hopes this season. But after pulling off back-to-back wins over the Washington Commanders and New York Giants, the 5-7 Cowboys aren\u2019t completely out of the postseason picture just yet.<\/p>\n
