If\u00a0D<\/a>allas Cowboys\u00a0quarterback\u00a0Dak Prescott\u00a0has his way, owner Jerry Jones won\u2019t make the one big change that most are calling for.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys (5-7) are entering the final stretch of an all-time forgettable season. They\u2019re about to miss the postseason for the first time since 2020, and all hope was lost when Dak Prescott required season-ending surgery on his hamstring last month.<\/p>\n

Most expect Jones to hire a new head coach, with\u00a0Mike McCarthy\u2019s contract set to expire after the season. But Prescott hopes Jones\u2019 looming offseason of changes will not include a new head coach.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports, Dak Prescott\u00a0lobbied for Dallas<\/a>\u00a0to bring back McCarthy for a sixth season:<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe in him wholeheartedly. I don\u2019t want to necessarily get into the nuts and the screws of it all obviously, but I think he definitely deserves a chance \u2014 another contract and a chance to coach this team amongst more influence. \u2018On his terms\u2019 may be a good way to say it. But I wholeheartedly believe in him.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
