The Baltimore Ravens are once again having a great season.\u00a0 Through their first 13 games they sit at 8-5, second in the AFC North, and right in the middle of the AFC Playoff picture.\u00a0 Heading into their bye week, however, they had some fairly surprising news to report.<\/span><\/p>\n

There has been a lot of success for the Baltimore Ravens this season. Although they are 2nd in the AFC North, they are 8-5 and have a solid chance of making the playoffs. Additionally, they traded for wide receiver Diontae Johnson to bolster their roster.<\/span><\/p>\n

The trade, however, may quickly turn into a\u00a0blemish on the season\u00a0since Johnson was suspended for one game for \u201cconduct detrimental to the team.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe have made the difficult decision to suspend Diontae Johnson for our upcoming game against the\u00a0<\/em>New York Giants<\/em>\u00a0for conduct detrimental to the team,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>GM Eric DeCosta said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cDiontae\u2019s suspension stems from refusing to\u00a0<\/em>enter<\/em><\/span>\u00a0our game against the\u00a0<\/em>Philadelphia Eagles<\/em>. We will have no further comments on this matter going forward.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This \u2018conduct\u2019 is reportedly Johnson\u2019s refusal to attend the Ravens\u2019 game last week, when they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Of course, the score ended at 19-24, as the offense struggled to get into any real\u00a0rhythm, and having<\/span>\u00a0a receiver like Johnson in the game can change everything.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Johnson was expected to improve Baltimore\u2019s passing game immediately when he was traded.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since joining the team, he has had almost no impact on the team\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Only five targets, one reception, and six yards have been recorded by Johnson so far this season.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s a free agent at the end of the season and has not positioned himself to win a big contract.<\/p>\n
