The\u00a0Miami Dolphins\u00a0came out on top against the\u00a0New York Jets\u00a0in overtime by a final score of 32-26 on Sunday, but the team was in grave danger of picking up its second consecutive loss heading into the fourth quarter of the contest. After all, the Dolphins were trailing by eight points at the end of three.<\/p>\n

However, Miami scored with just over nine minutes to spare in regulation. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill scored a receiving touchdown, and fellow receiver Jaylen Waddle made good on a two-point conversion to tie the game up at 23 apiece.<\/p>\n

Field goals from kickers Anders Carlson and Jason Sanders in the final minute of regulation set the stage for an overtime period, and Miami won the contest on a touchdown from tight end Jonnu Smith. Hill later admitted that as the Dolphins took the field for their touchdown drive in the fourth, they knew that their season would be all but over if they didn\u2019t score.<\/p>\n
