Patrick Queen\u00a0will add to the fire in the intense rivalry matchup between the\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers\u00a0and\u00a0Baltimore Ravens\u00a0this Sunday. Queen moved from the Ravens to the Steelers this offseason which is looked at by Ravens fans as\u00a0a traitorous move in the 2024 offseason. But Queen opened up about the move and he placed all the blame on the Ravens saying that they did not want him back.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He also opened up about how he feels about playing his former team, and that he is definitely feeling a certain way about getting the win this week especially, and he is not the only player playing against his former team, as\u00a0Diontae Johnson\u00a0will also be trying to get some revenge against<\/span><\/p>\n

Queen opened up on Wednesday that even if he wanted to go back to the Ravens they did not want him back:<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t wanted back,\u201d the Steelers linebacker said during the lead-up to his first game against the Ravens\u00a0this weekend,\u00a0via ES<\/a>PN<\/a>. \u201cI didn\u2019t get the offer back, and it is definitely kind of upsetting being there for four years and the bond that you grow with your teammates and stuff. The first few months, you definitely go through those feelings.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cNow after playing games, you just go by and just want to win games. You want to win with your teammates, your new teammates; you want to bond with those guys. Everything that you do as far as the organization that you\u2019re at now. Like I said, I will have feelings. Obviously, anybody in my position would this week, so I\u2019m just taking one day at a time, whatever happens, happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

This game is already shaping up to be an incredible matchup as both teams have been two of the best in the AFC and both have been playing extremely well.<\/p>\n

Queen had started his career with Baltimore and played dominant football in his time with the Ravens. He was the key piece to their defense, and since his departure, the Ravens\u2019 defense has been playing much worse. While he may have been expecting to be back on their team, he is now one of the biggest rivals. He will have plenty of extra motivation this week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Queen said that he doesn\u2019t maintain any relationships with the Ravens outside of Roquan Smith:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only person I talked to is Roquan,\u201d Queen said. \u201cI talked to him last week just so we could talk early in the week because we know we\u2019ll both be locked in. Probably not going to get any messages from anybody this week.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI just had to look in the mirror and just say I had to get back to myself,\u201d Queen said. \u201cI\u2019ve been getting better these last few weeks. I just got to raise that standard.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

NEWS:\u00a0#Steelers<\/a>\u00a0LB Patrick Queen says that the\u00a0#Ravens<\/a>\u00a0did not offer him a contract this off-season.<\/p>\n
