Jason Kelce made a comment on \u2018Monday Night Football\u2019 which made his fellow ESPN colleagues nervous, seemingly poking fun at Dallas before the Cowboys took on the Cincinnati Bengals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jason Kelce made a\u00a0comment about Dallas that made his ESPN colleagues\u00a0quickly change their tune.<\/p>\n

Before the Cowboys\u2019 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, ESPN was experimenting with having a broadcast feed portray the game and players as characters from \u2018The Simpsons.\u2019 Because of the occasion, ESPN\u2019s Mina Kimes, and other presenters, were made to look like characters from the iconic show.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As Kimes and her crew spoke about being portrayed in Springfield, where the show takes place, the pundit said they were in \u201cThe Armpit of America\u2019s Butt-Crack.\u201d That is a reference to what the city is called in the show, along with \u201cAmerica\u2019s Crud Bucket,\u201d \u201cThe Little Town That Can\u2019t and Won\u2019t,\u201d and \u201cThe World\u2019s Meanest City,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n

In response to Kimes\u2019 comments,\u00a0Kelce, who was in Dallas for\u00a0\u2018Monday Night Football,\u2019\u00a0shared his take on the city. \u201cAlso, the butthole and armpit of America,\u201d Kelce said, which led to his colleagues in Texas immediately making noise in hopes the microphones did not pick up the Philadelphia Eagles legend\u2019s comment.<\/p>\n

Kelce quickly attempted to backtrack as his colleagues appeared to take offense at his comment. \u201cIt\u2019s a joke!\u201d Kelce repeated as his fellow cohosts continued to express their disbelief.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuys, it was just a joke because of what Mina said,\u201d Kelce continued. \u201cWhich is why I\u2019m fun here. I love Dallas. We got the cowboy hats.\u201d In response to Kelce\u2019s comments, Marcus Spears, who previously played for the Cowboys from 2005 to 2012, gave his opinion on the matter, seemingly offended by the Eagles legend\u2019s retort.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t come back,\u201d Spears claimed. \u201cYou keep talking, you\u2019re digging the hole deeper. Leave it alone. We heard you.\u201d After the former Cowboys comments, only Scott Van Pelt was left talking as the panel was left in silence as the crew attempted to normalize after a bizarre set of events.<\/p>\n

Many on social media were not impressed by Kelce\u2019s comments, with some questioning why he was even on the panel in the first place. \u201cHow much Jason Kelce is enough Jason Kelce?\u201d one commenter posted on social media.<\/p>\n

Another wrote: \u201cWhy are we constantly punished with the presence od the Kelce bros? What do we have to do to be free of them?\u201d Meanwhile, another fan posted in response: \u201cHe means Philly, I assume.\u201d<\/p>\n

One fan attempted to make light of the situation considering Kelce\u2019s status as a Philadelphia great. \u201cI mean, it\u2019s funny because he\u2019s an Eagle. He\u2019s supposed to hate us,\u201d the fan began. \u201cDon\u2019t get so sad people!\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with his comments, Kelce also had his taste of a \u2018Simpsons\u2019-themed donut. However, he claimed not to be a fan after taking a bite, instead signing the bottom of it for a lucky fan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
