Taylor Swift had a joyful reaction to her longtime pal Selena Gomez‘s engagement news.

The superstar, 34, took to the comments on the actress’ announcement post on Instagram and revealed her role at Gomez‘s, 32, upcoming wedding to Benny Blanco, 36.

‘Yes I will be the flower girl,’ Taylor — whose romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, 35, reportedly ‘concerned’ Selena — wrote.

Taylor’s comment quickly garnered 172,301 likes in just an hour.

Gomez shocked fans on Wednesday night by revealing she is now engaged to the record producer after a year and a half of dating.

The Only Murders in the Building star shared the first photos of her massive diamond engagement ring with her 422million followers. ‘Forever begins now..’ she captioned the post.

Swift and Gomez have been friends for more than 15 years.

The duo first became friends in 2008, while they were both dating Jonas Brothers: Taylor dated Joe, while Selena was with Nick.

Selena previously remarked that her friendship with Swift was ‘the best thing we got out of those relationships’ during a KIIS FM UK interview in 2017.

Selena also previously called Swift her ‘only friend in the industry.’

Meanwhile, in October it was reported that Gomez expressed concern about her BFF’s relationship with Kelce. At the time, the multihyphenate was said to be worried pal Taylor ‘is moving too fast’ with the football tight end.

‘Selena thinks Taylor going to games and galivanting through New York immediately after just meeting Travis is something that is very unlike her,’ a source told Page Six at the time.

‘Historically, Taylor’s always been super private about everything, and now with this [relationship], she’s so open about it that it’s just very odd for Selena.’

The insider indicated that Selena has been invited to go to Travis’ games like some other members of Taylor’s squad but she declined as she did not want to be part of the ‘media frenzy.’
