FRISCO – Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons this week hosted Boise State’s standout running back Ashton Jeanty on his podcast, The Edge, offering fans an in-depth look at the rising star’s journey and aspirations. … and much, much more.
While the Cowboys gear up for a crucial matchup against the Panthers, Parsons sparked intrigue by suggesting – strongly – that Jeanty might fit well in Dallas.
Parsons, who has been vocal about supporting Jeanty’s Heisman candidacy, gave the rising star a chance to make his case for the award before then shifting the focus to Jeanty’s NFL potential, making a pitch for the Cowboys to consider him.
“As someone in the league, I would love to have you as a teammate knowing that’s what you are about,” Parsons said after hearing about Jeanty’s commitment to mastering the game. “I always say one year can change your life. The fact that you were able to lock in for that one year and do what you had to do … Not only are you a Heisman finalist but you’re soon to be a first-round draft pick. It’s really exciting to hear that. You seem like you got a really good head on your shoulders.”
