The Baltimore Ravens are dominating the New York Giants on Sunday, and Lamar Jackson’s incredible performance has added another historic chapter to his career.
Jackson completed 21 of 25 passes for 290 yards, throwing five touchdowns, and added 65 rushing yards on six carries. His performance helped the Ravens improve to 9-5 on the season, but it was his rushing yards that made the biggest impact on Sunday’s game.
With his 65 rushing yards, Jackson officially surpassed 6,000 career rushing yards, joining NFL legend Michael Vick as the only quarterbacks in NFL history to reach that milestone.
Jackson now trails only Vick, who holds the all-time record for most rushing yards by a quarterback. This achievement further cements Jackson’s place as one of the most dynamic quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen.
Lamar Jackson joining Michael Vick in the history books is a significant achievement, especially given how Vick helped revolutionize the quarterback position, with a little over 100 more yards, he will break Vick’s all-time rushing record.
Vick was one of the first to demonstrate that a quarterback’s ability to run and create plays with their legs could be just as dangerous as their arm. Jackson, much like Vick, has become one of the NFL’s most dynamic playmakers, and this milestone further solidifies his place among the all-time greats.
That said, while Jackson’s individual accomplishments are impressive, his ultimate goal remains the same as it has always been: a Super Bowl championship. With the Ravens sitting at 9-5 and poised for a playoff run, all eyes are on their Week 16 showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A win for the Steelers would secure the AFC North title and a top-four seed in the playoffs, while a Ravens victory would keep them in the hunt for the division crown and potentially a home playoff game. For Jackson and the Ravens, it’s more than just a rivalry game—it’s an opportunity to take control of their postseason destiny.
