Taylor Swift has opted against spending the end of her birthday weekend in Cleveland, skipping the Chiefs’ road game against the Browns on Sunday.
Her boyfriend Travis Kelce is back in his native Ohio for a rare game against Cleveland, and many had expected Swift to join him for his homecoming.
In fact, social media was awash with rumors on Sunday morning, with fans speculating that her private jet had landed close by – and even that she had been spotted in a local Starbucks.
Instead, though, Swift opted to stay away from the game, with confirmation from stadium officials arriving shortly before kickoff.
In a post on X, AP reporter Tom Withers said: ‘Official word from stadium security is that Taylor Swift is not attending today’s game.’
Fans quickly took to social media to have their say, with one writing: ‘Taylor Swift will literally do anything for love except attend a Cleveland Browns game.’

Another added: ‘Does taylor swift just hate Cleveland? i mean her boyfriend is from here like show some love to the city.’
It is currently unclear where the pop superstar is, after she spent time visiting a children’s hospital in Kansas City earlier in the week.
Kelce made the hospital visit with her on Thursday, and then attended a Chiefs Christmas party event on Friday – the day his girlfriend turned 35.
Rumors on social media claimed that Swift had a low-key party on Friday night in Kansas City, before Kelce jetted up to Cleveland with his teammates on Saturday.
So far this season, Swift has only missed one Chiefs home game – and that was due to a clash with the final run of her sold-out Eras Tour show.
She has yet to take her place in the stands of any Chiefs road games this season, skipping visits to Atlanta, LA, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Buffalo and Carolina.

It could well be that the Cruel Summer songstress is just saving herself for another playoff run, with the 12-1 Chiefs hoping to get to yet another Super Bowl.
During her hospital visit earlier in the week, Swift opened up to one of the children about the stress she felt during last year’s run, which culminated in a triumph in Las Vegas against the San Francisco 49ers.
‘I don’t mind Brock Purdy,’ Swift said in video shared by a parent on the ward. ‘He put me through a lot last February but it all went better.’
‘I like Travis now,’ was the response from the child, before Taylor joked: ‘Me too. That’s an absolute yes on that one.’
