The Baltimore Ravens scored an important road win on Sunday as they took down the New York Giants, 35-14, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. With the victory, the Ravens have improved to 9-5 as they continue to chase the 10-4 Pittsburgh Steelers (who lost on Sunday, 27-13, against the Philadelphia Eagles) for the top spot in the AFC North.
Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson went off against the Giants, completing 21-of-25 passes for 290 yards, five touchdowns and zero turnovers. While it was the two-time PFWA MVP who stole the show on Sunday, tight end Mark Andrews also played a key role in the victory.
Andrews made history on Sunday by scoring his 48th career touchdown for the Ravens, marking the most by any player in franchise history.
His girlfriend, Elena Yates, was extremely proud of her man’s historic feat, and she just had to send Andrews a strong message on Instagram after Sunday’s win.
“soso proud of you 💜 there’s no one like you!!!” Yates wrote as she shared the Raven’s post on her Instagram Stories.
In a subsequent post, Yates also shared Andrews’ historic touchdown, which came in the first quarter via a Jackson TD pass.
“MANDREWS TOUCHDOWN!!” the Ravens emphatically captioned their post.
According to People, Andrews and Yates have been dating since the summer of 2023. She graduated from the College of Charleston in May 2024 with a marketing degree, and the Ravens star even attended her commencement ceremony to support his girlfriend in her milestone event.
Andrews finished Sunday’s win with two receptions for 24 yards. It wasn’t a mind-blowing performance by the three-time Pro Bowler, but his one touchdown on the day was enough for him to mark a historic feat in his seven-year Ravens career.
