With Christmas now less than a week away, most folks are already looking forward to the festivities that accompany the most wonderful time of the year. Football fans, however, are also excited about the double-header the NFL has in store for Dec. 25.
For the first time in history, Netflix will provide coverage for both games. The two-time defending champs Kansas City Chiefs take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium at 1 p.m. ET, followed by a showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET.
On Thursday, Netflix took to social media to announce the national anthem performers for both games. According to the streaming platform, Voices of Service will perform for the first game, while Pentatonix will take the stage at NRG Stadium for the Ravens-Texans clash.
Voices of Service is a vocal group that finished in fifth place in season 14 of “America’s Got Talent.” The group is made up of veterans and active-duty service members.
Pentatonix, on the other hand, is an Arlington, Texas-based acapella group that will be performing in their home state when the Texans host the Ravens on Christmas Day. The group has been active for more than a decade now and has three Grammy Awards under their names.
In prior announcements, Netflix also revealed that Mariah Carey will be singing her 30-year-old megahit “All I Want for Christmas Is You” in a pre-recorded performance for the “Christmas Gameday” show opener ahead of the Chiefs-Steelers game.
Beyonce, who was recently named the greatest artist of the 21st century by Billboard, will be the halftime performer for the Ravens-Texans showdown.
