John McEnroe on Novak Djokovic: “I hope Novak wins the Australian Open because of the interest he brings to tennis around the world.”

McEnroe: I hope that Novak will win the Australian Open, and the relationship with Murray will be short-lived - Sloboden Press

According to American legend, the Scot can help the Serb a lot

Former American tennis player and now commentator John McEnroe had to give his opinion on the choice of Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray to become his coach.

John, with a touch of humor, comments that this will allow the Scot to take a break from his life as a father, especially as he has many children to look after. Murray has four children with his wife, Kim.

– I’m sure it will be a very short-lived relationship. But in a way, I hope Novak wins the Australian Open because of the interest he brings to tennis around the world. It will give Murray a little break, give him more positive vibes and I’m kidding when I say he needs a break from his kids – says the American.

However, he believes that this relationship will be successful.

– Murray is passionate about tennis and loves it. He will do his best for Novak, just as he did for himself (while he was an active tennis player n.z.). That guy gave 120 percent, gave absolutely everything. I think Murray will bring something to the team. Novak respects him a lot, so Murray will be able to “press” him when he needs to – believes McEnroe.
