During Saturday’s AFC North matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, running back Justice Hill was tackled hard along the sideline on a 25-yard gain. The 27-year-old playmaker was tackled by Steelers safety Damontae Kazee and landed awkwardly on his head, shoulder and neck at high speed.
At the very moment that Kazee lunged low toward Hill’s legs, it appeared both of his feet were off the ground, causing him to tumble end-over-end.
The Ravens back was motionless on the ground for several moments. Coaches, players and staff could tell immediately that Hill was injured and signaled to the medical staff for help. He eventually got up under his own power and could walk off to the sideline.
Hill was determined to have suffered a concussion and ruled out for the rest of the game.
Hill, the team’s primary backup to starter Derrick Henry, is third on the Ravens with 198 rushing yards. The 2019 fourth-round pick has excelled this season as a pass-catcher, collecting 42 receptions for 383 yards and three touchdowns.

Baltimore extended Hill on a two-year, $6 million contract in September, securing the running back’s services through the 2026 season.
