Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson had fans buzzing with their interaction following the Pittsburgh Steelers–Baltimore Ravens game on Saturday night.
Both Jackson and Wilson impressed for their respective teams in the Week 16 affair, but it was the Ravens who came out on top with a 34-17 victory.
Jackson completed 15 of his 23 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns against just one interception. The Ravens’ dual-threat QB also had nine rushing attempts for 22 yards.
To make things even better, Jackson’s performance allowed him to make Ravens history for the most TD passes in a single season. He now has a career-high 37 passing touchdowns following their win.
As for Wilson, he finished with 217 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. He completed 22 of his 33 passes, while also rushing three times for 27 yards gained on the ground.
After their intense battle, the two quarterbacks met on the field and shared a postgame handshake and hug. In the video shared by the NFL, they were also seen exchanging some words, though it’s not clear what was said between them.
As mentioned, the interaction sparked plenty of reactions among fans, with a number of fans loving the moment.
“My two favorite players in the NFL…they happen to be great people off the field,” a commenter wrote.
“Great game,” another one said.
“Love NFL,” a poster added. A social media user further stated, “I love both of them.”
“A real game was played today,” a fifth fan shared.

Jackson and the Ravens improved to 10-5 on the season with the win and clinched a spot in the playoffs. As for the Steelers, they have now lost their last two games and have dropped to 10-5, putting them in danger of losing the top seed in the AFC North.
Sure enough, it will be interesting to see how Jackson and Wilson will lead their respective teams as they gear up for the postseason.
