While 2024 hasn’t been a great season for the Dallas Cowboys overall, the same can’t be said for wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.Amid the Cowboys’ struggles, Lamb has been a bright spot for the franchise. In their Week 15 win over the Carolina Panthers, the 25-year-old wideout recorded nine catches for 116 yards and one touchdown. The performance allowed Lamb to break through 1,000 receiving yards for the fourth straight season. He’s at 1,089 yards and six touchdowns following Sunday’s victory.
Lamb made history in the process, as the Cowboys announced on social media. According to the team, the former Oklahoma Sooners standout is just the second player in team history to have at least 1,000 receiving yards in four straight seasons.
Michael Irvin is the only other player to do so, having achieved the feat from 1991 to 1995.
“CeeDee writing HIS sTORY,” the Cowboys wrote in the caption of their post while highlighting Lamb’s accomplishment.
CeeDee Lamb has been with the Cowboys for five seasons now after getting drafted 17th overall in 2020. The only time he wasn’t able to reach the 1,000 receiving yards mark was in his rookie season, when he registered 935 yards.
In the past three seasons, Lamb has also been selected to the Pro Bowl. 2023 has been his best year so far, tallying career highs in receptions (135), receiving yards (1,749) and touchdowns (12).

Unfortunately for Lamb, despite the big year he’s having, the Cowboys have struggled. While they have won three of their last four games, they are only 6-8 on the season, with little hopes of making the playoffs.
