Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders has been nothing but money this season.
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders is reintroducing himself as one of the NFLâs top kickers. The 2020 first-team All-Pro followed up his AFC Special Teams Player of the Month award for November with AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors for Week 16 with a perfect performance against the San Francisco 49ers.
Sanders scored 17 points in Miamiâs 29-17 win â five field goals and two extra points. He improved to 11-of-13 on field goals longer than 50 yards after hitting a game-long 54-yarder late in the third quarter.
Sanders earned AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for going a perfect 10-of-10 in November, which included three from over 50 yards. Heâs continued that momentum through December â converting all 11 field goal attempts.
This marked Sandersâ sixth Player of the Week honor and the first since a 5-of-5 performance in Week 16 last season against the Dallas Cowboys. He enters the seasonâs final stretch with the seventh-most points scored among kickers (121) and a field goal percentage of 89.2 percent.
