Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors hosted LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day.
The Lakers escaped the primetime game with a 115-113 victory over the Warriors, behind 31 points and 10 assists from James.
Curry finished the game with 38 points, six assists and one rebound.
Following the Christmas Day matchup between James and Curry, the official social media page of the Golden State Warriors posted a video of their postgame handshake.
The postgame exchange between the NBA legends received tremendous engagement on social media.
Upon the Warriors’ release of the video, some fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the interaction between Curry and James.
“Christmas classic,” said one fan.
“Big-time performance on the big stage,” said another fan.
“The two greatest basketball players of all time… Whoever the 3rd best is isn’t even close to these two,” mentioned one fan.
“Just put the trades in the bag,” commented one fan.
“Wow! What a game!” said one fan.
“Respects,” said another fan.
While some fans have highlighted Curry and James’ 2024 Olympic run when speaking of their relationship on the court, others point toward one of the greatest NBA Finals rivalries in league history.
From 2014 to 2018, Curry and James went head-to-head in the NBA Finals, with the Warriors holding the 3-1 series edge.
At this point in their career, both NBA stars have four championship rings under their belt.
