Rafael Nadal’s academy witnessed multiple faces this year for the pre-season training of the upcoming tennis year. The number of players enrolled in the preseason weeks showcased the impact that the Spaniard has on the tennis community.

Nadal retired this year after playing his final match at the Davis Cup Finals on November 19, 2024. Even though he has hung up his rackets, his impact and his legacy still have their mark in the tennis world, and his Rafa Nadal Academy, which is a tennis training center situated in Mallorca, Spain, is still assisting in showcasing the legacy he has brought to the sport.

The 2025 tennis season is almost around the corner, and several tennis players did their pre-season training at Nadal’s academy. The officials of the academy shared a sweet note for all the players who practiced in the academy.

The players in the academy were Jaume Munar Clar, Abdullah Shelbayh, Coleman Wong, Daniel Rincon, Lorenzo Sonego, Jack Loge, Ivan Ivanov, Emilien Demanet, Raphael Collignon, Magdalena Frech, Joan Nadal, Jan-Lennard Struff, Alina Korneeva, Dominik Koepfer, Alejo Arcila, and Gauthier Onclin.

Showcasing the sessions of all the abovementioned players in a video, the academy officials shared a message for them on Instagram that read:

“What a great preseason weeks at the @rafanadalacademy! Best of luck to everyone in 2025! VAMOS‼️ “

Rafael Nadal opened up about how his academy helps adults

In a video released by Rafael Nadal’s academy on YouTube in 2020, the Spaniard explained how the academy helps adults attain a positive experience there. He said that almost all of the academies emphasize the improvement of the young players; however, he spoke about his program that helps the adults.

“When we think of the academy itself, we always think of the young players. However, here we also have different adult programs that work well, and we are satisfied to do a tennis program for a few days or weeks,” said Rafael Nadal. “In fact, every year more adults come here to do a tennis program for a few days or weeks. For me it is a great satisfaction.”

Nadal also revealed that he usually comes for a round here and personally asks all the players about their stay’s experience.

“I try to come here every day because I practice and go to the gym here. When I see players I try to ask them about their stay here and they usually say that the experience they get from here is very positive. That’s something that personally makes me happy.”

Rafael Nadal announced his retirement on social media on October 10, 2024, and following that, he competed in two tournaments including the Six Kings Slam and the Davis Cup Finals, before ending his legacy at the tennis court.
