Sports commentator Skip Bayless didn’t hold back his criticism of Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.
Bayless, who is known for his outspoken views, took to X to label Green the “dirtiest player in NBA history.”
The comment came after another controversial moment for Green during the Warriors’ Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the fourth quarter of the game, Green found himself in the spotlight for an unusual play.
After a free throw from teammate Jonathan Kuminga, Green attempted to grab position in the paint by locking arms with Lakers players Dalton Knecht and Rui Hachimura.
What followed was a bizarre, wrestling-style takedown that saw Green pull both players down, nearly knocking their heads together. The move looked more like a scene from a wrestling match than a basketball game.
Despite the commotion, Green did contribute to the game in other ways, tallying 10 rebounds, six assists and four blocks, per the NBA. However, his offensive performance was disappointing, as he scored only three points, missing five of his six shot attempts.
The Warriors ultimately lost the game 115-113, and Green’s missed opportunities on offense were seen as a factor in the team’s defeat.
Green’s reputation for aggressive, sometimes reckless play continues to be a topic of discussion. Despite his four championships, his actions on the court often overshadow his contributions.
