An intense hit on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kenny Pickett from Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons sent the signal-caller to the locker room in the third quarter of the Week 17 matchup.
With Pickett already nursing a rib injury, the 26-year-old signal-caller had to be replaced by second-year quarterback Tanner McKee.
No penalty was called on the play on Parsons, which originally resulted in a seven-yard touchdown to WR A.J. Brown. A call of offensive holding on Eagles’ right tackle Lane Johnson nullified the touchdown. Philadelphia would settle for a field goal on the drive, taking a 27-7 lead.
Pickett was sent to the locker room for evaluation and did not return. The 2022 first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers finished the game with 143 passing yards and a touchdown pass. McKee, his replacement, completed 3-of-4 passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns.
It is not yet clear if Pickett will be available for Week 18.
