Capping a season during which some might argue the things that have gone right are ultimately fools’s gold – at least in comparison to the Eagles, who featured Saquon Barkley rushing for 167 yards to top the 2,000-yard mark on the season, backup quarterbacks Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee both filling in for the injured Jalen Hurts and looking superior to Dallas, and the 13-3 Eagles clinching the NFC East title.
And Dallas? What about 7-9 Dallas and its situation?
“Nobody plans to lose,” Prescott said, speaking out honestly on this lost season. “Nobody plans to have a losing season. You expect playoffs every year. You expect to win this division. … It sucks. It’s frustrating.”
For Dak personally, as he plans to be healthy enough for OTAs, things seem to be looking up.
“Gained some strength in it, started to use it a little bit,” he said. “Yeah, I’m probably a few weeks maybe a month from running running. But got on the bike. So definitely doing some things, moving more.”
And that, on this day, is about the only news for Cowboys Nation that doesn’t “suck.”
