After receiving a massive extension over the offseason, Tua missed six games with injuries.
He was once again concussed early in the season, causing him to miss four games.
Tua later suffered a hip injury, causing him to miss the final two games of the season.
The Dolphins went 2-4 during the six games that Tua missed, and just one or two more wins could have gotten them into the playoffs.
Instead, Tua was off the field while backups like Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley tried to win games.
They weren’t able to manage enough wins though, and the Dolphins missed the playoffs for the first time since 2021.
Missing out on the playoffs left fans furious, and some had quite extreme reactions.
Some went as far as to burn Tua jerseys that they own in a show of protest.
Other fans also chimed in with their disappointment on social media.
“Should of never spent that much money on him,” one fan said.
“NOT A FRANCHISE QB,” another fan said.
“We all hate Tua,” a third fan said.
“Tua and Grier have set the team back 10 years!!” a fourth fan said.
“Should be boycotting the games next year for keeping Grier! Let Ross feel it, he’s the one holding us back!” a fifth fan said.
Upset fans aren’t the only issue the Dolphins face heading into this offseason.

Tyreek Hill requested a trade after the season ended, reportedly leaving the final game at halftime.
“This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs,” Hill told reporters after the game.
“I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here or wherever the case may be, I’m finna open that door for myself. I’m opening the door. I’m out, bro.
“It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, bro, I got to do what’s best for my career.
“I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”
Cornerback Jalen Ramsey also appeared to indicate he wants out of Miami in an Instagram Story that he later deleted.
