The Vikings and Rams meet in the NFC Wild Card Playoffs next Monday night, but Mother Nature is currently ravishing the area, and things could quickly change.

The NFL is closely monitoring the situation as conditions worsen, possibly creating poor air quality in the area.

At least five people are dead, and many more injured as several fires broke out across Southern California. Thousands have been evacuated as more than 15,000 acres burned in the uncontrolled Palisades Fire in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles.

Several areas across Los Angeles are being affected by devastating wildfires, but the NFC Wild Card Game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings on Monday night will remain scheduled as planned.

However, there is a contingency plan in place.

Should things not go according to plan, the game could potentially be moved to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where the Arizona Cardinals play.

With the playoff game five days away, the NFL will need to make a decision soon since the game is set to be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. That is only 45 minutes northeast of the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, which has an evacuation order.

If the game between the Vikings and Rams is moved, it will be played on Tuesday night.

The NFL is monitoring the California wildfires that have taken the lives of at least five people and forced thousands of people to evacuate their homes across Los Angeles County.
