The Baltimore Ravens got to enjoy a home playoff contest as they took down their rival Pittsburgh Steelers in Wild Card Weekend.
For the next round, it’s time to hit the road for the Ravens, though, as they take on the No. 2 seed in the AFC in the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round.
The Bills have looked like a force throughout their season, despite losing star wide receiver Stefon Diggs last offseason. They’ll pose a tough challenge for the Ravens as they hit the road to a hostile environment.
The Lamar Jackson-led Ravens will do their best to roll into Buffalo and make some noise, though, as the two-time MVP is looking to add some championship hardware to his resume.
Ahead of the matchup, all eyes were on Zay Flowers, who suffered a knee injury against the Cleveland Browns, and what his injury status might be.
On Wednesday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave an update on Flowers, providing that the wide receiver didn’t suffer a season-ending injury.
“It’s not a season-ending injury,” Harbaugh said. “So it’s just going to be day-to-day, try to do everything he can do to get back as soon as he can, and we’ll see where that takes us.”
However, signs are pointing toward Flowers being out for a second-straight playoff game. Jamison Hensley recently reported that, at practice, Flowers was inactive and has yet to make his return to the gridiron with his teammates.
“Pro Bowl WR Zay Flowers was not at practice Wednesday, the Ravens’ first full practice for the divisional game at the Bills,” Hensley reported. “Flowers hasn’t practiced since injuring his knee in the regular season finale 11 days ago.”
If Baltimore is without Flowers, it’d be quite the blow for Harbaugh and Jackson as they look to try and make the AFC Conference Championship Game.
