Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have been able to enjoy the last week or so away from the game field as they used a first-round bye in the NFL playoffs to prepare for the upcoming Super Bowl run. It will potentially be a historic run as well, with the Chiefs looking to become the first team in NFL history to win a third consecutive championship.
However, leading up to this weekend’s game against the Houston Texans, it appears that Kelce has one thing on his mind: Mega-star girlfriend Taylor Swift.
Kelce has talked about her in numerous interviews over the past week, giving updates on what her plans are for the game, and how she is impacting his life inside and outside of football, with even some words on his eventual retirement.
When talking to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith on Wednesday, Kelce made it clear why he is talking about Swift so much, and it seems like he is a person who is truly in love, saying he “couldn’t be happier.”
“I’m enjoying all aspects of life,” Kelce said on The Stephen A. Smith Show. “That’s for damn sure, man. Me and Taylor are happy and I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field, and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium, man.”
In another interview this week — again one with discussions about Swift — Kelce told Pat McAfee that his girlfriend would be in attendance for the Chiefs game vs. the Texans this weekend, saying that it’s too important for her to miss despite her busy schedule.
“Oh yeah, you know it, baby,” Kelce replied when asked. “It’s playoff football, man.”
The game is slated to kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, aired on ESPN. You can guarantee that with Swift in attendance, we will see a handful of reaction shots in a luxury box while her boyfriend does his thing on the field.
