For the first time in his four-year career with the Dallas Cowboys, pass rusher Micah Parsons did not make the NFL playoffs.
The Cowboys ended the season with a 7-10 record and will now be moving forward with a new head coach after Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones agreed to part ways.
The former Penn State Nittany Lions star still had a solid season despite the Cowboys record and missing four games. Parsons finished with 30 tackles, 12 sacks and two forced fumbles.
But getting to the quarterback isn’t the only thing Parsons is good at. He is also good at predicting upsets in the NFL playoffs.
On the latest episode of “The Edge with Micah Parsons,” the Cowboys star made his pick for each Divisional Round game. Parsons notably predicted the Washington Commanders to defeat the Detroit Lions, which was an unpopular selection.
“The Divisional Round games… Commanders vs. Lions,” Parsons said. “I just can’t bet against Jayden Daniels. I’m going to go Commanders.”
The defender was clearly proud of his pick and made a separate post to showcase it after the Commanders pulled off the upset.
“Lol I heard I was delusional all week! Jd5 ❄️❄️🥶!!” Parsons wrote on X.
NFL fans were left impressed with Parsons’ prediction, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
“I give it to you. You kno ball,” one fan said.
“You are the man to believe in Jayden Daniels and the Commanders,” wrote a second.
“Micah knows ball,” added another.
“Micah knows ball confirmed,” commented a fourth.
The Commanders were able to pull off the biggest upset of the playoffs so far. Going into the game against Detroit, Washington was an 8.5-point underdog (ESPN BET) and was able to secure a 45-31 win.
The Commanders will move on the their first NFC Championship Game since 1991, where they will face the winner of the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams.
