BREAKING: Dodgers Stun Fans with 16 New Signings After Roki Sasaki Bombshell!

The Los Angeles Dodgers added the crown jewel of the 2025 international class in Roki Sasaki, but the organization continued to sign overseas talent soon after the Japanese phenom’s coveted announcement.

The Dodgers signed a total of 16 players to their 2024-25 international class, with only Sasaki pending.

On Friday night, hours after Sasaki’s announcement, the Dodgers signed Venezuelan right-handed pitcher Carlos Ramirez. The Dodgers also signed Panamanian left-hander Adrian Torres, who was actually the first addition of the 2024-25 international class. The official signing took place in Panama and he received a $365,000 bonus deal plus a $100,000 scholarship.

Torres is regarded as one of the premier lefties in the class. He has a 92-95 mph fastball, starter potential, and tremendous developmental upside, per MLB insider Francys Romero.

The Dodgers continued to acquire talent into the weekend. On Saturday, the Dodgers signed Venezuelan shortstop Luis Tovar. He became the organization’s third official signing and receives a $300,000 bonus deal.

The Dodgers then officially commenced their signing in the Dominican Republic by inking a deal with right-hander Derick Aquino and outfielder Devlyn Bautista.

The Dodgers signed four other international players from Venezuela including infielder Moisés Acacio, catcher Moisés Rangel, infielder Juan Macero, and right-hander Ricardo Román.

Later on in the weekend, Los Angeles added four more Venezuelan players to the 2024-25 international class in outfielder Degerson Diaz, right-hander Jose Villegas, catcher Jhon Gil, and catcher Ezequiel Aparicio.

Monday, the Dodgers signed Colombian outfielder Jhosman Theran. He represented his country’s national team in the 2022 U-15 World Cup.

The Dodgers officially signed infielder Luis Luna from Colombia the same day the organization signed the top reliever on the market in Tanner Scott. Luna received a $140,000 bonus deal and is considered to be a contact hitter with speed and versatility.

The Dodgers also signed 17-year-old right-hander Joseph Deng from South Sudan. Deng is the first player born in South Sudan to sign with an MLB organization and the second African player in the international class.

He is 6-foot-7 with a fastball that goes up to 96 mph.

Despite spending a reported $6.5 million on Sasaki’s signing bonus, the Dodgers were able to make two trades — one with the Philadelphia Phillies and one with the Cincinnati Reds — to secure enough money to sign all their international signees.
