The Baltimore Ravens recently suffered a brutal playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills, falling 27-25 in the AFC Divisional Round.
The Ravens were inches away from tying the game, but a dropped two-point conversion by tight end Mark Andrews sent Baltimore into the postseason.
Nevertheless, it was a phenomenal year for the Ravens, with NFL MVP candidate Lamar Jackson leading the way.
While the NFL has yet to announce their official winners for annual awards, including MVP, Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, the Pro Football Writers of America recently dropped their pick for MVP.
The PFWA awarded Jackson the MVP for the 2024 NFL season.
Jackson finished the season with 41 touchdowns and 4,172 yards, completing 66.7% of his pass attempts. The two-time NFL MVP also added four touchdowns and 915 yards on the ground.
The Ravens quarterback has now won his third PFWA NFL MVP, previously winning the award in 2020 and 2023.
According to PFWA, he is the 12th consecutive quarterback and 35th quarterback overall to win the award, dating back to the inception of the honors in 1975.
The official NFL MVP award will be announced on Feb. 6 at Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, Louisiana, per Pro Football Network. Since the 2004 season, the PFWA and official AP award winners have revealed the same winner for the MVP award, so Jackson could certainly be in line for his third honor.
