All eyes are on the race to Super Bowl LIX, with four teams left standing in the NFL playoffs: the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
As the NFL season slowly comes to a close, the league has announced the finalists for every major award, including the Offensive Player of the Year.
In a recent announcement by the official social media page of the NFL, the league announced the five finalists for the OPOY: Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson.
Henry, who in played his first season with the Ravens, had a surprisingly successful season given his age at 31 years old. While many fans thought Henry may see a decline in Baltimore, he produced some of the best stats of his career.
Henry played in his first year in Baltimore after eight years with the Tennessee Titans. The Baltimore running back recorded 16 touchdowns (No. 1 in the NFL) and 1,921 yards (No. 2 in the NFL) on 325 carries (No. 2 in the NFL) during the Ravens’ season.
Henry helped the Ravens finish the season with a 12-5 record, including a playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The star running back was heavily aided by Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is a finalist for the Offensive Player of the Year and NFL MVP award.
