Taylor Swift has always gone above and beyond with gifts for her loved ones. So, when Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes welcomed their third child, the couple received a special gift from the pop star.
Following the birth of their daughter, Golden Raye, on Jan. 12, one of the first gifts the baby received was a handmade blanket from Auntie Swift, according to Page Six.
Interestingly, a recent report revealed why the “Cruel Summer” star chose custom-made gifts for her friends and family.
A source told Us Weekly that the Grammy winner was all about creating meaningful gifts that hold more personal value than lavish ones.
“She makes a lot of things for the people she loves and cares about,” the insider shared, adding, “She makes sentimental gifts that mean more to her than expensive gifts.”
The source also revealed that the “Bad Blood” hitmaker would go the extra mile and would “hunt for something special, personal and meaningful for people” rather than ask her assistant to “just buy something.”
In addition, Taylor Swift not only loves gifting one-of-a-kind keepsakes, but she also has “always been someone who makes arts and crafts” and “makes a lot of personal things herself,” hence the handmade gifts she gave to her close circle.
The 35-year-old singer grew close to the Mahomeses because her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was the Chiefs QB’s teammate and also a close friend.
Other than the couple, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. and his wife Chariah Gordon previously revealed that Swift sent them a “thoughtful” baby gift when she gave birth.
At the time, the pop star was in the middle of her sold-out Eras Tour.
