BREAKING: New York Yankees Have Shown Interest in Los Angeles Dodgers Fan Favorite

Unlike the Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Yankees have a few question marks on their roster. After losing to the Dodgers in the World Series, the Yankees have made moves, but they’ve also lost Juan Soto and Gleyber Torres, among others.

New York has attempted to replace Soto’s offensive production with Cody Bellinger, but the need for an infielder is still evident.

If the Yankees enter the season with an internal option at second base, getting back to the World Series might not be an easy task.

And that’s where a former Los Angeles fan favorite could come into play.

According to Mark W. Sanchez of the New York Post, New York has shown interest in free agent Kiké Hernandez.

“A source said the Yankees have inquired on Hernandez, whom they also asked about last winter,” Sanchez wrote.

Hernandez is the definition of a professional. His numbers don’t often jump off the page, but there’s value in a guy who plays multiple positions and shows up when it matters most in October.

The Yankees could be interested in what he’s done in the postseason. Hernandez has a .278/353/.522 slash line in 230 career playoff at-bats.

He was incredible in 2024, slashing .294/.357/.451 with two home runs, 6 RBI, and 15 hits in 51 at-bats.
