Rodri Explains Why He Deserves to Win 2024 Ballon dāOr Ahead of Vinicius Jr
Rodrigo Hernandez Cascante, simply known as Rodri, recently shared the qualities he believes set him apart as the worldās best player.
Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri has said he was crowned 2024 Ballon dāOr winner because of his consistency.
Rodri was surprisingly named the winner of the prestigious individual award, beating off competition from favourite Vinicius Junior.
Aside helping City retain their Premier League title, Rodri was part of the Spanish side that won the 2024 Euros and was named Player of the Tournament.
āI think I won the Ballon dāOr because Iāve been consistent. Itās the most difficult skill in football,ā he told @partidazocope.
āI think Iāve been the most regular player in the world this year, yes.ā
Rodri, who is expected to be out for the rest of the campaign due to injury, likened Erling Haaland to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He added:āThe most decisive player in the world in terms of numbers is Erling Haaland.
āHeās the only player who could come close to Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
āHe is also very young and will be there for many years.ā
