The Los Angeles Dodgers offseason is ending, and it’s about time to start getting ready for Spring Training.
However, when they head to the Cactus League, the team will be without World Series MVP Freddie Freeman. According to Fabian Ardaya, Freeman hasn’t started running after his offseason ankle surgery.
It was also reported that Freeman had torn ligaments in his ankle during the team’s playoff run, making his heroic World Series performance all the more impressive.
The Dodgers slugger recorded four home runs and 13 RBI during Los Angeles’ 2024 playoff run.
It would be great to see Freeman get some spring training reps, but he is expected to be ready for the Dodgers opening series in Tokyo at the end of March, which is the more important piece.
Freeman is heading into his 16th MLB season and is a true professional. Undoubtedly, he’s been taking control of his rehab process and will return to the diamond healthy.
The Dodgers first baseman underwent an ankle procedure in early December. His procedure removed loose bodies.
