There have been rumblings that Cleveland Browns star pass-rusher Myles Garrett would seek a trade this offseason. In December, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year went on record saying he wanted to see a plan that wasn’t a rebuild this offseason.
Whatever has transpired since then didn’t go as the 29-year-old would have liked, so Garrett requested a trade.
In the wake of that request, there’s been a flurry of conversation and speculation about possible trade destinations.
One divisional rival even casually threw his team into the conversation. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson reposted a message from a Ravens fan account asking if Garrett liked crab cakes, a food staple in Maryland.
NFL fans couldn’t help but chime in with their reactions to Jackson’s interest in bringing Garrett to the Ravens.
“Lamar reposting, he is sick of getting chased by him 😂😭,” said one fan.
“Send the house, I want a legit game wrecker in Baltimore,” replied another fan.
“We would have to give up sooooo much for him but I know Eric will try,” read a reply.
“Whatever it takes,” commented a fan.
“That would be ridiculous,” shared one fan.
“do u like crab cakes 😂😂😂😂,” said another.
Baltimore finished second in the NFL with 54 sacks and had two players finish with at least 10 sacks this season: linebackers Kyle Van Noy (12.5) and Odafe Oweh (10). In the AFC divisional round, the Ravens (12-5) lost to the Buffalo Bills, 27-25.
Garrett has spent his entire career with the Browns. In the 2017 NFL Draft, Cleveland selected him as the No. 1 overall pick. The 6-foot-4, 272-pound defensive end has two years remaining on his contract.
