“BREAKING: Dodgers All-Star Sends Clear Message – ‘I Want Kiké Back!’”

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder and All-Star Teoscar Hernández made his intentions clear at DodgerFest on Saturday at Dodger Stadium: He wants Kiké Hernández back in a Dodgers uniform.

“Everybody’s waiting for that news to pop up, to see Kiké back as a Dodger,” Teoscar Hernández said. “I want Kiké to be back.”

Teoscar Hernández isn’t the only one who wants the super utility man and fan favorite back either. The fans also expressed their desire to have him back during the Saturday’s festivities.

While president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and general manager Brandon Gomes fielded questions, the crowd before them broke out in a chant repeating Kiké’s name over and over again.

Friedman responded in a way that turned the chant in cheers.

“The door will never be closed on Kiké,” Friedman said

“Obviously we’d never close the door to Kiké,” Gomes added. “I think a lot of it is just making sure he and his family feel like it’s the best position for him. But we’ll have those conversations.”

Kiké Hernández hasn’t shied away from commenting on where his preferred destination is either.

“I would love to be back,” Kiké Hernández said while at a partnership event at Raising Canes right after the World Series. “I truly believe that — we won the World Series a couple days ago, but I truly believe that this team is gonna be even better next year with all the pitching reinforcements.”

Kiké Hernández has had multiple runs with the Dodgers, with a free-agent stop in Boston in between. While reports indicate the Yankees have shown interest in signing him, comments from the Dodgers’ front office suggest a reunion in Los Angeles is more likely.

“From the moment I got to L.A., it was a humbling experience for me to have a fanbase that embraces me and loves me the way that they do,” he said in an appearance on The Shop. “The support. I’m a guy that I’m probably a better player than what the back of my card says numbers-wise. I bring more to the table than my stats, and the way that they love me, you’d think that I am the best player on the field each and every day I step on a baseball field.”
