The Baltimore Ravens had another impressive regular season campaign, posting a 12-5 finish after building a star-studded roster.
The Ravens made a move to sign superstar running back Derrick Henry, pairing him in the backfield alongside franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson.
The move paid off, but the Ravens still fell short in the playoffs. They took a gut-wrenching 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the playoffs.
It’s clear Baltimore needs to make some offseason tweaks to help Jackson get the Ravens over the hump in the postseason.
Adding another game-wrecker and bolstering the defensive side of the ball even further could be a massive improvement in terms of the team’s future playoff success.
Conveniently, the Ravens’ divisional rival Cleveland Browns recently received a trade request from superstar edge rusher Myles Garrett.
Now, it would be quite difficult for Baltimore to land a deal to secure their division rival superstar — though it could be massive for the squad’s defense.
Jackson is in favor of the Ravens looking to strike a deal, too. He recently reposted a post shared on X, claiming purple looks good on Garrett.
It might be subtle, but the two-time MVP-winning quarterback is sending a message and pitching for Baltimore to look to trade for the Browns superstar.
The 29-year-old defensive end will have quite a big trade market, as he can be transformational to any defense. The eight-year superstar and former No. 1 overall pick has tallied more than ten sacks in each of his last seven seasons.
While the Ravens are in a bigger need of addressing their secondary — they could add Garrett to a consistent defensive line, which would add a true game-wrecker who can single-handily control a game on that side of the ball.
It’s very, very unlikely that the Ravens make a deal for Garrett, but it’s not a zero percent chance, which is why Jackson is sharing his opinion on the matter.
