Jonnu Smith knew his family was in the stands supporting him, but he had no clue that a moment he had would end up with them getting a football that he wasn’t actually throwing to them.
In a 34-19 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Miami Dolphins offense was surgical.
The most reliable and dynamic target for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was not Tyreek Hill but tight end Jonnu Smith.
Smith’s first touchdown occurred on the opening drive of the game, a 14-play, 70-yard drive that took over eight minutes off the clock.
At the conclusion of the play, Jonnu Smith is seen getting up from the ground and blindly launching the football into the stands for a fan to retrieve.
What makes it even crazier is that the ball landed right next to his family.
