Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce left fans stunned in New Orleans after they were spotted on a dinner date at a French restaurant in the city on Friday night, less than 48 hours before the Super Bowl.
In years gone by, players have typically stayed in their hotels this close to the deciding game of the NFL season but Kelce chose to head out with his girlfriend ahead of what he has said will be the biggest day of his career.
They were seen holding hands at Lilette, a trendy French restaurant on Magazine Street. Word had clearly got out that they were there, with plenty of fans waiting by the steps to film them leaving before sharing the now-viral footage online.
Kelce was wearing casual tracksuit while Swift was wearing black dress and boots. Fans cheered as they left the venue flanked by security, with the Chiefs tight end waving to people before getting into the car that was on hand to whisk them away,

While there is no suggestion Kelce has broken any rules by heading out with Swift, his appearance was still a surprise given that it is so close to the game. Some fans on social media even dismissed the footage of them arriving at the restaurant, thinking someone had been mistaken for Kelce.

The Chiefs team are staying at the four-star Marriott hotel near the French Quarter, around a 20-minute drive from the popular dinner spot.
Last year, before the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Kelce underlined how important it was for him to stay focused and lay low in his hotel in the days leading up to the big game.
‘We’ve got one week, we do what we need to do then we can party in Vegas for the rest of our lives,’ Kelce said.
It is unclear when Swift arrived in Louisiana but fellow WAG Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick, got to the city on Friday.
Multiple other Chiefs WAGs also revealed on social media they had arrived around 48 hours before the game, too.
Kelce has faced a barrage of questions about his girlfriend this week, ranging from her cats to his potential plans to propose.
But the Chiefs star got the most attention for his words about Donald Trump, after it emerged that the President will be at the Superdome for Sunday’s game.
Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris before last year’s election, while Kelce never said who he voted for.

When asked about Trump being there on Sunday, he said: ‘It’s awesome. It’s a great honor, I think no matter who the President is.
‘I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life and having the President there, it’s the best country in the world so it’s pretty cool.’
After Swift backed Harris, Trump posted on truth social that he ‘hates’ the singer but they appear to be cheering for the same team this weekend.
Trump has twice paid compliments to Patrick Mahomes and on Friday extended his praise to Kelce.
Posting on Truth Social about Sunday’s game, Trump wrote: ‘Two great Quarterbacks in this game. Also, an unbelievable running back, and the absolute best tight end in football (Ever!).’
