Real Madrid wonderkid ‘not angry’ with lack of minutes, dreams only of succeeding at the club
Arda Guler’s situation has been widely discussed in recent months for the player appears to be struggling for minutes under Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.
The Turkish phenom has become a regular and the centre of attraction for the Turkish national team, yet cannot catch a break with his dry spell in Spain. Recent months have thus seen him linked widely with a transfer in either January or June.
With contrasting reports over his future floating around regularly, it has become difficult to grasp a clear understanding of his situation and Guillermo Rai via The Athletic has summarised the same in a recent report.
Guler is prepared to fight
As revealed by the English outlet, Guler is hellbent on succeeding in Spain and is taking all the necessary steps to lay the foundation for his future success.
For starters, the player has a great rapport with players in the dressing room, particularly Fede Valverde and Brahim Diaz who even help him learn Spanish.
He even has a physiotherapist, a chef and a personal fitness trainer in Madrid, all of whom live with him and converse only in Spanish to enable a seamless adaptation.
The young phenom is also highly disciplined and dedicated. After the Euros, he was firm on staying fit to the point where it was difficult to find coaches to work as early as he demanded.
The lack of minutes on the field is certainly not easy for the player to accept. However, the report furthers that he is not angry with his situation and believes that his time will come soon.
Guler is clear with everyone at the club that he wants to make a name for himself only at Real Madrid and his love for the club has been visible every time he takes to the field. The club are happy with him as well and knows that he will have a massive impact.
Last summer, Los Blancos received interest in the player’s transfer with several clubs looking to sign him on loan. Their response, however, was clear that if any player was to leave in the summer, it would not be Guler under any circumstance.
The season is long and Guler may well have his chances as the months progress and inevitable rotations flow in. His patience and dedication will thus be key.
