Just days after watching the rival Philadelphia Eagles hoist the Lombardi Trophy after trouncing the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in the Super Bowl, fans of the Dallas Cowboys have received some timely news of their own to celebrate.
After quarterback Dak Prescott went down with a season-ending hamstring injury in Week 9 that required surgery, it sounds like things have gone as well as they could based on recent comments from Dallas’ QB1.
While this is by no means on the level of what Eagles fans will be celebrating well into Friday’s parade, it’s the type of health update most fans would be delighted to hear directly from their starting QB.

Prescott had the surgery done back on November 13 and since the timetable for recovery was estimated to be three months, an official update was due after offering up a surprisingly great update to sideline reporter Melissa Stark in late December:
“Yeah my health is good, doing a lot more, gettin’ there.” Prescott explained. “Think I’m, what, 12 weeks or so out of surgery now. So really looking to amp it up here recently. Got all my confidence and we’ll be fine.”
Given all of the recent changes in “Jerry World,” including introducing a new, first-time head coach in Brian Schottenheimer, who’s been busy getting his respective pieces in place, the last thing anyone in Dallas needed to hear was any kind of setback during Prescott’s rehab process.
With the continued positive progress, the Cowboys are likely to be shifting the lion’s share of their focus to the NFL draft along with the free agency window, which officially begins on Wednesday, March 12 at 4 p.m. ET.
