Jason Kelce has made it clear that he has mixed emotions over the result of Super Bowl LIX.
He loves that his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, has won the title again for the first time since he helped lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy for Philly back in 2017. At the same time, however, he’s also devastated for his brother, Travis Kelce, who failed to win a chip with the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Wednesday’s episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast, the two NFL icons openly discussed the elephant in the room. As Jason Kelce was talking about how good the Eagles have been this season and their incredible path to the championship, he could not help but notice his brother’s stoic reaction to his Philly monologue.
“Do you want me to cut all that, Travis?” Jason Kelce asked. “You look like you’re just…”
Travis Kelce interrupted his brother before he could even finish his thought.
“Dude, no,” Travis Kelce said. “Dude, you’re allowed to have your world, your legacy, your word, you’re allowed to have that. You can be happy for your former teammates. Don’t let what happened to me make you feel any less proud of what you’ve helped build.”
Jason Kelce quickly dismissed any involvement in the Eagles’ recent Super Bowl victory, saying, “I didn’t help build (expletive).”

Travis Kelce acknowledged how his brother refuses to take credit, but the Chiefs star argued that Jason Kelce did play a significant role in terms of laying the foundation, so to speak, for the Eagles during his iconic 13-year tenure with the franchise.
However, when it comes to Jason Kelce remaining loyal to his Eagles, Travis Kelce has made it abundantly clear with his message here that he has nothing against his brother for being happy and proud of Philadelphia’s championship.
