The Kansas City Chiefs‘ 2024 season was a great one, culminating in a Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite finishing the regular season with a strong 15-2 record, the Chiefs’ offensive line struggled throughout the year, particularly in the Super Bowl where they were dominated by the Eagles‘ defense.
Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ superstar quarterback, faced constant pressure and was sacked six times, highlighting the need for a significant upgrade on the offensive line.
Enter Ronnie Stanley, the Baltimore Ravens‘ two-time Pro Bowl left tackle.
Stanley had a standout season in 2024, allowing only two sacks and earning a pass-blocking grade of 79.6.
His performance has caught the attention of analysts, including Yardbarker’s Seth Trachtman, who suggested that the Chiefs could make a move for Stanley to bolster their offensive line.

“The offensive line was KC’s most significant issue for much of 2024, and they finally addressed left tackle by shifting All-Pro guard Joe Thuney outside,” Trachtman wrote. “That’s not a long-term solution, but Ravens star Stanley would be a great fit as a free agent to protect Patrick Mahomes’ blindside.”
However, there are financial hurdles to overcome. Stanley is projected to command a two-year, $41.3 million deal in free agency, which would require the Chiefs to restructure contracts and possibly make cuts to free up cap space.
The Ravens, facing their own cap space challenges, may find it difficult to retain Stanley, making him an attractive target for the Chiefs.
While the Chiefs’ offensive line issues are a pressing concern, the potential acquisition of Ronnie Stanley could provide a much-needed boost.
The financial implications and contract negotiations will be crucial in determining whether this move will become a reality.
If the Chiefs can navigate these challenges, Stanley could be the key to solidifying their offensive line and giving Mahomes the protection he needs to lead the team to future success.
