Former NFL center Jason Kelce had a difficult decision to make during Super Bowl LIX, but it seems Indianapolis Colts legend Peyton Manning has backed his choice.
Travis Kelce, Jason’s young brother, and the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl from New Orleans. Jason, who was in attendance at the Superdome for the big game, may have found himself in a conflict about who he would root for.
On one hand, his own family is a member of the Chiefs. That might be enough reason to cheer for them.
On the other hand, Jason played center for the Eagles for 13 seasons, helping bring the franchise its first Super Bowl. He also lost to Travis in Super Bowl LVII from the 2022 NFL season.
Ultimately, Jason decided to cheer for both teams: a win-win situation for the ESPN analyst. But some fans from both sides did not appreciate this.

On Sunday night, Manning attended “Saturday Night Live’s” 50th anniversary special in New York City. The two-time Super Bowl champion had hosted the popular show in 2007, shortly after winning his first ring.
When Manning was walking the red carpet, he was asked what he thought about Jason cheering for the Chiefs. Manning has been in a similar situation before, cheering on his younger brother, Eli, and the New York Giants. And Peyton took a clear side.
“I mean tough spot,” Manning said. “I went to both of Eli’s Super Bowls, and he wasn’t playing one of my former teams, so it was easy to pull for him and the Giants. Jason was in a tough spot. I mean, look, certainly, he’s going to pull for his brother. Bloods always going to be thicker than the colors of your team. So I thought they handled it well.”
Both the Manning and Kelce brothers have been some of the best players the NFL has ever seen. Overall, the four combine for a total of eight Super Bowl wins, with Travis Kelce (3) having the most.
